According to Rightmove, the number of properties listed in\nthe final week of January 2022 was up 8% compared with the previous year<sup>1<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"hd-block hd-block-paragraph\">\n<p>Tim Bannister, Director of Property Data at Rightmove,\ncommented, <em>\u201cThe market has picked up pace after a busy festive period, and\nit\u2019s really encouraging to see more properties start to come to market for\nsale. More new listings, coupled with the higher number of requests from\nprospective sellers to estate agents to value their home we are seeing,\ncertainly suggests good news and positive signs we are moving towards a\nbetter-balanced market in 2022.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"hd-block hd-block-paragraph\">\n<p>However, he added that continued high demand would see\nbuyers continuing to face <em>\u201cstiff competition<\/em>\u201d for available properties \u2013\nso they <em>\u201cshould act fast when a property they like comes onto the market.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"hd-block hd-block-paragraph\">\n<p><strong>Banish buyer anxiety<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"hd-block hd-block-paragraph\">\n<p>In a competitive market, buying a house can feel\noverwhelming.
