However, failing to do so can leave you with insufficient cover or,\nin the worst cases, the wrong type altogether.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"hd-block hd-block-paragraph\">\n<p><strong>Cost, time or\nfont?<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"hd-block hd-block-paragraph\">\n<p>A fifth of UK adults admit to not checking the T&amp;Cs before\ntaking out insurance. The explanations are varied: a quarter of respondents to\na recent survey<sup>1<\/sup> said the T&amp;Cs were too long, while 17% said\nthey only care about the cost, not the details. 15% said they don\u2019t have time\nto worry about the detail, and 6% were put off because the writing was too\nsmall.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"hd-block hd-block-paragraph\">\n<p>Just under\na fifth said they occasionally read the T&amp;Cs of their home cover, while a\nhearteningly high 50% said they always check the small print.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"hd-block hd-block-paragraph\">\n<p><strong>We can\nhelp<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"hd-block hd-block-paragraph\">\n<p>It can end\nup costing you a lot more if you take out an insurance policy without checking\nthe fine print.
