Transforming our unloved and neglected urban spaces will help\nprotect our cherished countryside and green spaces, while improving the\nphysical and mental health of our communities.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"hd-block hd-block-paragraph\">\n<p><strong>More promises<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"hd-block hd-block-paragraph\">\n<p>As well as the headline pledge, the Budget also reconfirmed \u00a311.5bn\nthrough the Affordable Homes Programme (2021-26), promised an additional \u00a365m\ninvestment to improve the planning regime through a new digital system, and\nconfirmed more than \u00a35bn to remove unsafe cladding from the highest-risk\nbuildings.<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Autumn Budget included fresh spending pledges on housing from the Chancellor, with \u00a31.8bn set aside to assist housing supply via land regeneration.
