While it\u2019s true\nthat a larger deposit will result in lower monthly repayments and often better\nrates, it is not the be all and end all. Indeed, the government recently\nlaunched a mortgage guarantee scheme for those with small deposits, enabling\nmore people to get onto the property ladder.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"hd-block hd-block-paragraph\">\n<p>    2. <strong>Your deposit is your only major cost<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"hd-block hd-block-paragraph\">\n<p>When it\ncomes to the cost of buying a property, many people only factor in the deposit\nas an initial cost. Unfortunately, there are a few other costs to consider that\ncan really add up.
