A further 22% say there is no circumstance that would make them consider\npurchasing a protection product.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"hd-block hd-block-paragraph\">\n<p><strong>Other reasons given include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"hd-block hd-block-paragraph\">\n<p>\u2022&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Not\nthinking they need it (28%)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"hd-block hd-block-paragraph\">\n<p>\u2022&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Believing\nit to be too expensive (25%)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"hd-block hd-block-paragraph\">\n<p>\u2022&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Not\nbeing able to afford it (22%).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"hd-block hd-block-paragraph\">\n<p><strong>No regrets<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"hd-block hd-block-paragraph\">\n<p>Unfortunately, once people\nexperience a change in their circumstances, it is often too late to protect\nthemselves.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"hd-block hd-block-paragraph\">\n<p>Protection policies rarely offer backdated cover, meaning\nthat homeowners could find themselves in unnecessary financial difficulty as\nthey try to meet their mortgage, bills and other essential payments.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"hd-block hd-block-paragraph\">\n<p>Many of those questioned said they\nwish they had better understood the true value of protection, with one in seven\npeople (14%) regretting not having financial protection in place that would\nhave supported their mortgage payments in the past.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"hd-block hd-block-paragraph\">\n<p><strong>Get ahead<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"hd-block hd-block-paragraph\">\n<p>We can help explain the\nimplications of having no protection insurance for you and your family, and\nadvise you on suitable and cost-effective products to protect you financially \u2013\nbefore it\u2019s too late.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"hd-block hd-block-paragraph\">\n<p><sup>1<\/sup>MetLife,\n2021<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"hd-block hd-block-paragraph\">\n<p><strong><em>The value\nof investments and income from them may go down.
