It has caused typically \u2018tech-averse\u2019 groups to make the shift to digital, as older groups most at risk from the virus began shopping online.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"hd-block hd-block-paragraph\">\n<p><strong>ESG under the spotlight<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"hd-block hd-block-paragraph\">\n<p>ESG (Environmental, Social and\nGovernance) investment has been around for many years, but the pandemic has\nsent it mainstream as consumers became more aware of the importance of\nsupporting companies with a vested interest in corporate governance and\nsustainability issues. Over the past year, what businesses are doing to support\n\u2018wellbeing\u2019, and how they treat their employees and suppliers, have come into\nthe spotlight like never before, driving a new commitment to ESG issues.\nSustainability and governance issues have been propelled up the corporate\nagenda.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"hd-block hd-block-paragraph\">\n<p><strong><em>The value\nof investments and income from them may go down.
